04 — Practice
Her work
deals with the bittersweet nostalgia of childhood and the traces it leaves in adult life: memories that become exaggerated or bent out of shape, magical states, and dream spaces that borrow from past civilisations. Her installations move between ordinary present-day life and fairy-tale alternative dimensions.
Each medium came from a different part of her path: drawing from illustration, clay from ceramics, 3D from animation. She rarely keeps them apart. Glazed figures, felted wall reliefs, altar-like tables, dioramas and video often share one room, arranged as a scene the viewer walks into rather than a row of objects on plinths.
